The Founder

Hi there,

I am Charles Odada. I started The Printed Future as a way of sharing my perspectives on 3D printing and connecting with other 3D printing enthusiasts in the world.

I am mechanical engineer with a masters degree in advanced manufacturing and automation engineering. I first encountered 3D printing while undertaking my masters degree and I have loved the potential of the technology since then.

I have also worked with a pioneering additive manufacturing company. I have played a part in efforts to take polymer 3D printing beyond the realm of prototyping including  the use of 3D printing for ‘true’ mass production.

Although 3D printing has gone mainstream, many people don’t understand important functional and commercial aspects of this technology. Behind the hype, many important developments that may transform the future of this technology go unnoticed.

I plan to use this blog to shine a light on all these so we can boldly walk together to our 3D printed future.
